Star Style Trend "Ombre" Color

Chanel Iman rocking dark hair and light ends

Hello Dolls,

Today we will be discussing a hair trend that has been around forever, but has recently become popular among celebs. The look involves dark hair at the roots with color becoming gradually lighter toward the ends. This style is now called "Ombre" hair. Tons of models, singers and actresses have embraced this look.
My verdict is a definite "Love"! The lighter hair frames the lower part of the face and adds a glow to the skin.

The great thing about this look is the low maintenance involved with keeping the roots touched-up. This allows for less visits to the salon and less damage to the hair. Wow what a win-win for trendy ladies everywhere-(not so much for the hair stylists). As seen above, the color looks lovely worn curly or straight.
If you are not the type to color your hair, try adding lighter EXTENSIONS to the back of your own hair to create the Ombre effect. You will add length and feel like a Star!

Ciao for now ;)

Hello Dolls,

It's officially confession time. I am guilty of withholding important information from all shoe shoppers. An earlier post featured the awesome " Studded  Star of the Show" black peep toe pump that was the highlight of my completed concert look. To the naked eye it appears that the designer could be Sam Edelman, who has some of the hottest shoe designs ever.
The truth of the matter is that the designer goes by the name Michael Shannon. The second I saw the shoe I knew it had to be mine. The Crystal encrusted heels cost me $99. The strikingly similar version by Sam Edelman was originally priced at $199.95. After some searching I saw the shoe priced from anywhere between $132 (http://www.shopstyle.com/)   and $149 (http://www.6pm.com/) at the least. Michael Shannon's design pleased me just fine and I couldn't argue with the price.
From what I can see, the main difference between the two are the soles of the shoe. Michael Shannon version has a black sole and it appears a little flatter toward the front. Sam Edelman has a light brown sole and it's slighter thicker in the front area. I could be wrong because the photos are similar. At any rate, there it is! I can sleep better at night knowing someone will be rocking a gorgeous pair of shoes and at a slightly lower price. I'm all about fabulous finds so I will keep everyone posted.

Celeb Spot: Lance Gross on Set Filming For New Tyler Perry Movie

Hello Dolls,

Ladies! The handsome actor, Lance Gross, was spotted on set of the latest Tyler Perry Film "Marriage Counselor". The movie is an adaptation from Perry's 2008 play about a married couple who's relationship starts to fall apart. The cast also includes Brandy,Lance Gross and Vanessa Williams.
Here we see Lance sporting a simple and clean look. His ensemble was pulled together nicely with the stylish shades and necklace. The contrast of the white shirt and gray cardigan play well with his smooth chocolate complexion :) Is it getting hot in here?! Whew!

He is pictured here with Tabitha Paul, CEO of
Exotic Expression Styling.
She designs accessories and is also a make-up artist.
She has a great sense of style, which is seen in her choice of HOT Shades by Designer Stevie Boi.

Lance was sweet enough to pause his busy work day
for a few friendly photos. What a guy, right? Anyhow, I just had
to post his pictures for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

ULTIMATE QUEST FOR A COMPLETED LOOK ON A TIME LIMIT

Hello Dolls,
It's a mad dash for the perfect complete look and the countdown has begun. There is only 8 whole hours left until the lift off of the WATCH THE THRONE TOUR WITH Jay-Z and Kanye West. The pressure to look fabulous is weighing down on my shoulders heavily.
So far I've managed to piece together a simple one piece black, halter jenie pant jump suit, paired with a studded belt: which almost compliments the super star studded peep toe heels (black leather) that I picked out. The bedazzled clutch adds to the glitz of it all, which I'm not so sure is a good thing. I want to shine without appearing to be a disco ball. In a few minutes I will be off to the mall in hopes of bringing this look together with perfection and fast. I'll be back later with details.

Find Beauty in Urban Decay

Hello Dolls,

Happy Tuesday. I'm bringing a BSA (Beauty Service Announcement) to all the make-up addicts around the world. Urban Decay, the oh-so edgy yet girly cosmetics line, has a fantastic sale right now. They have a bold color selection in shadows and lovely lip colors. Currently some staple items are going for as little as $2, compared to the normal price of $17. If this isn't exciting enough for an Urban Decay user I don't know what else to say.
I admire Urban Decays line of products. I have the "Oil Slick" shimmery shadow in my personal collection. Its great for a smokey eye and lasts all night. The quality speaks for itself, the sale shouts for itself. If this is not convincing enough, then maybe their ethics will tip the scale. Urban Decay declares they never do animal testing and the products are vegan. Cruelty free is alright with me.
Shop Now at www.urbandecay.com, Photos from www.ulta.com
You won't regret it. At the very least you can try a bright shadow or shiny gloss for $2-$5, and know that no animals were harmed in the making.

Ciao for now ;)
